Mou Leong Tan

Mou Leong Tan is an Associate Professor in the Geography Section at the School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He earned his PhD from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the National University of Singapore, specializing in hydro–climatic modeling. He currently serves as an academic editor for PLOS ONE and is a member of the editorial boards for HydroResearch, Geografia, and the Journal of Asian Geography. Additionally, he holds leadership roles as President of the Malaysian Geographical Association and Vice-President of Water Watch Penang. Dr. Tan is the principal investigator for the Degrees Modelling Fund, which studies the impact of Solar Radiation Management (SRM) on hydro–climatic extremes in Malaysia, and he has published three papers on SRM.
