Affiliation: ETH Zurich
Title: Post Doctoral Researcher in the Atmospheric Physics Group
Country: Switzerland
Sandro’s main research focus is on assessing the risks and benefits of stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) of solid particles as an alternative to sulfur-based SAI. He uses both global modelling and experimental methods to reduce uncertainties in aerosol microphysics and heterogeneous chemistry of different solid materials and their interaction with radiation, stratospheric ozone and global dynamics. He also studies the microphysics of sulfuric acid aerosols under stratospheric conditions to improve their representation in global models. He has published 8 papers on SRM.
