Whitney Peterson

Whitney Peterson has over a decade of experience building capacity in climate–vulnerable communities, shaping climate narratives, and forming strong partnerships across non–profit, academic, and government sectors. As Director of Strategy and Communications of The Alliance for Just Deliberation on Solar Geoengineering, she and her colleagues actively build governance capacity, foster policy engagement, and lead inclusive discussions on solar geoengineering – without advocating for or against its deployment. Their work elevates the perspectives of climate–vulnerable communities, creating pathways for meaningful engagement and collaboration in global solar geoengineering governance.
