Title: Assistant Professor of Radiation Management and Atmospheric Physics

Country: Netherlands

Isabelle Steinke joined TU Delft in 2023 as Assistant Professor for climate interventions with a focus on cloud-based radiation management. Previously, she was an independent research fellow at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) and a postdoctoral researcher at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (USA) and Leipzig University (Germany). She obtained her PhD in (Atmospheric) Physics from Karlsruhe Institute Technology and Heidelberg University in 2013. Her research centers around the impact that tiny aerosol particles have on the formation of clouds, and how uncertainties associated with cloud formation are driven by a changing climate. Within the TU Delft Climate Action Programme, she focuses on bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives on radiation management.
