Heading past 1.5C – Could Solar Geoengineering help?

May 4

“The chances of keeping within 1.5C are diminishing fast, in the face of climate backlash in the US and elsewhere. Some suggest solar geoengineering technologies could offer a ‘plan B’ for climate policy. In this public event we will ask if it is thinkable to develop and govern solar geoengineering safely and justly as a climate intervention. Come along and learn about the technologies being researched, their prospects and pitfalls, and join in discussions on their ethics, governance, politics and more.”
