The world is nearing 1.5°C of warming and Brazil is already experiencing the worsening impacts of climate change, including the degradation of the Amazon and reduced agricultural productivity. With risks mounting, there is growing interest in a set of ideas to cool the planet. What are these ideas, and what could they mean for Brazil?

This primer was prepared for a seminar held on 24 September, hosted by the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, supported by the Climate and Society Institute of Brazil. The event brought together national and international experts to discuss perspectives, uncertainties, and challenges surrounding SRM.

A recording of the seminar is available here.
