George Marshall is a specialist in climate change communications, attitudinal research and the testing of messaging. He has designed large scale programmes for public engagement around the world, in particular for reaching audiences who are distrustful of climate science. In 2024 he founded the Oxford UK based non-profit Climate Outreach and his clients have included most large environmental organisations, the UN, the World Bank and over 20 governments. He is the author of Don’t Even Think About It: Why our Brains are Wired to Ignore Climate Change exploring the psychological obstacles to accepting climate change.
