“This meeting brings together leading experts in methods to deliberately cool the planet to counterbalance the impacts of human emissions of greenhouse gases. The event will appeal to those interested in ameliorating climate change who want to know more about the potential pros and cons, and perils and pitfalls of such proposals. International experts will discuss the rational for investigating two most prominent proposals that have emerged in the literature; i) stratospheric aerosol injection which aims to mimic the observed cooling impact subsequent to explosive volcanic eruptions, ii) marine cloud brightening which aims to brighten marine clouds to cool the planet.”
