Ginny Selz

Ginny (Virginia) Selz is Senior Program Director for the Repair Program at Ocean Visions, leading efforts to identify and assess ideas that sustain critical ocean–climate functions. An Earth system scientist and program leader, she advances research toward actionable outcomes through strategic program design and partnerships. Previously, she advanced interdisciplinary research initiatives at the NOAA Climate Program Office and held roles at AAAS, NSF, and Oceana. She earned a Ph.D. from Stanford University, with polar research recognized by service medals from the US Coast Guard and NSF.
