Isobel Parry is a mathematics PhD student at the University of Exeter. Her research examines the Amazon rainforest as an Earth system tipping point and has identified evidence of Amazon dieback in CMIP6 climate models (Parry et al., 2022). She also studies the potential impacts of proposed climate intervention strategies on the biosphere and Earth systems at risk of tipping (Parry et al., 2026). Isobel Parry was a co-author of Sections 2 and 4 of the 2025 Global Tipping Points Report.
